I am a yoga teacher and soon to be health coach in 2016. Practicing yoga since 2001, I have been teaching yoga since 2007 where I was honored to begin teaching pre-natal and post-natal yoga at Yoga Vermont. I have also taught my childbirth workshops titled Seven Steps to Prepare for a Natural Childbirth with Yoga at Eastern View Integrative Medicine.
I am thrilled to be studying to be a holistic health coach with The Institute of Integrative Nutrition. This past year I was the Wellness Coordinator for the Colchester School District where we did a month long sugar challenge to see how teachers and staff could make small and gradual changes to cut back on sugar in their diets. For as long as I can remember I have been studying and inspired by movement/exercise and healthy cooking and eating. My children know that I try to make everything healthier! They are used to me putting butternut squash in our chili and baking zucchini dark chocolate chip cookies. I look forward to sharing my passion for holistic health with as many people as I can.
Before I figured out what I wanted to be when I “grew up”, I was also a photographer, an elementary teacher and a middle school language arts teacher. When not working, I enjoy time with my family, biking, dancing, photography and gardening. I look forward to helping you on your journey to health and wellness! I will be adding a lot more details about health coaching to this site this Fall and look forward to sharing them with you!
